Powershell Set-Strictmode and Uninitialized Variables

I’ve been doing a bit of powershell lately and ran into an issue that I didn’t expect to encounter. As is common with writing ‘quick and dirty’ scripts, you tend to develop bad coding habits. Outside of a compiler or IDE, you don’t have the intellisense type code checking features that come with those languages. Some like that and some don’t. I personally enjoy the languages that don’t require compiling but perhaps that lead me to poor coding habits. This particular habit deals with Uninitialized variables.
